New photos are here! (｡◕‿◕｡) It’s the Cheongsam inspired mini dress, enjoy~! It’s on the bottom of the page after the long text.
I often get the question about how I take my photos and what gears I use. The short answer is I do most of the indoor photos with a tripod and use my phone as remote for the camera. As for my “gear”, it’s about 7 inches and loves to be tinkered ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . Jokes aside, my camera is the Sony A7S2. A7 is the main mirrorless camera line from Sony, each generation consist of base A7, A7 R and A7 S versions. The A7 is the “base model” costing about half of the A7 R and A7 S. It is more versatile but also lacks the specialty other 2 models have. A7 R doubles the mega pixel compared to the base A7, it is aimed for ultra high definition photos for printing. A7 S has half the mega pixel of the base A7, but each sensor doubles in size and meant for almost night vision level of sensitivity. A7 S is also one of the best video camera in a compact form with its image stabilization, color sensitivity, and S-log dynamic range for post production videos. Each model also have 2 to 3 generations out by now, so my A7 S2 means it is the 2nd generation of the A7 S model. Each generation retains the strengths of its predecessors while gaining small improvements.
The A7 S line is ideal for indoor photos given its extreme low light performance, which is the main reason I picked it. Low light is the main reason most cell phone photos look decent while outdoors but requires the flash to take indoor photos. The relatively low 12 mega pixel count on my A7 S2 is not really a concern since most of my photos end up on this site or Instagram anyway. I already reduce the size down to about 1000 x 1500 pixels, from its original 2000 x 3000. You could say it’s not about the size but how you use it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . The Sony cell phone remote app is handy, so I can pose while looking at exactly what my camera sees. You can see the huge jump in quality in my photo when I upgraded to this camera 3 years ago. I recently got “F&V R-300 SE” ring light and you can see it in my most recent photos including this very set. You basically put it onto the front of the lens. The dimmable ring lights allow some extra frontal light without blasting the subject like a flash light would.
I will simply list my lenses quickly, maybe one day I will do an in depth video about them. I got the Sony Zeiss 35mm f2.8 compact lens originally, mostly for its compact size. 35mm is right about how our eyes can normally see, so this lens works indoors like in a restaurant as well as outdoors for simple full body shots. Then I got the huge Sony G-master 24mm-70mm f2.8. This is a zoom lens that can go a bit wider at the 24mm end for really tight spots or taking full shots of a room or a building. On the longer 70mm end I mostly use it for traveling, at place where you can’t get too close and need the extra zoom. The 70mm end also gives the image more bokeh, making the main focus pop by blurring out anything in the foreground and background. My last lens is the Batis 25mm f2.0, again a very wide lens for indoors. It is basically a slightly larger and wider version of the compact 35mm, great for close objects and videos. Most of my photos are taken with the 24mm-70mm zoom, normally at wider 30mm~50mm range and f2.8~f4.5 depend on lighting.
Sorry for being so technical this time, hopefully it was helpful for those of you who are interested in photography. This camera was expensive when new, but worth every penny even at full price. It becomes an extremely good buy if you get it used. It is by far one of the best purchase I have ever made.
Hi everyone! Here’s a new photo set. Did you miss my LED lights and the skimpy outfits~? Well have fun! Whenever I can’t do longer photo sets like these, I will just upload single photos and short videos on my Instagram. This site is dedicated to longer sets and blog, and Instagram is for quick updates. Oh my Instagram is @asianalison, or instagram.com/asianalison
So it has been a few months since my last updated and my overseas trip. Sorry I couldn’t do photo sets until now. I did get back home safely and everything went smoothly. However, I had to rearrange a few things related to this website and other things after I got back. And also… I needed to lose the weight I gained from my mom’s cooking back home ʕᵔᴥᵔʔ. I decided to go on the little trip in anticipation to this whole internet “modeling” website shenanigans in the first place. Yet it was still a bit of a mess by the time I got back. Sorry if it sounds very vague if you are not in the know. It’s mostly “risque” websites that’s being pushed around by service providers and such. Everything is all back on track now tho, and you can always get quick updates from my Instagram like I mentioned earlier.
So I am away on vacation now, I will not be able to reply at all until I come back on May 28th. PLEASE hold your messages until then. In the mean while here’s a quick Instagram feed to keep everyone busy~ Hehehe, It’s mostly the same photos on there but these mini video clips aren’t half bad. More after I come back~! ^__^
Hi all! New month, new trips~
Don’t get me wrong if you read my last blog. I don’t blame Washington DC or Amtrak for my cursed train ride, I don’t even blame the taxi driver for the accident at the end (´･_･`). It was just a perfect storm on a perfect trip. So here I am, about to go to NYC on Sunday. Yes, I am taking Amtrak again. Let’s hope the trip goes smoothly, as smooth as my legs perhaps ~ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I am also taking a personal vacation in May, between the 5th and the end of May. Don’t worry, I will be back before June. Everything have been going nicely aside of this belated march madness. Cursed trip, lost package, tax month, we are finally pass them all. Oh and I did end up getting that new ring light, still getting use to using it. So here are some casual photos, kinky stuff will come later, maybe videos even. ヽ(´▽`)/
Cya in NYC~!
What I am about to tell you today is a tale passed down for thousands of years, a tale repeated by lords and toddlers alike. It is a tale of great tragedy, a tortured soul finding her redemption through…
– the CURSED AMTRAK RIDE –
Let’s meet our hero, the “Girl” with a dragon… in her skirt.
Some say in the ancient times her kind were hailed as oracles.
Then the journey she took from Washington DC back to Philadelphia must have been the trial of deities.
Year 2018, Washington DC union station.
March 3rd, 5 am.
“All northbound trains are cancelled.” said the station announcement.
– But why? Wasn’t the wind storm yesterday? –
– So I got an early 6 am train ticket and rushed to the station for nothing? –
Despite the sad look on her face, she immediately stood up and walked to the greyhound bus station.
“No north bound buses are leaving here either!!” people further in the line cried out.
Only Rental car left, the patron saint of travelers for when the public transportation goes down.
She immediately draged her luggage toward the neatly placed Hertz, Enterprise and Avis booths.
“Closed” sign on the windows of all three.
She took out her phone and frantically search for a rental car app.
Closest available rental car was an hour away, the trial of deities wouldn’t be solved that easily it seems.
– Please make it stop, this would be too cheesy of a plot even for a zombie apocalypse movie –
She thought to herself, slowly wonder down to the food court and sat down near other stranded travelers.
– I just want to go home –
She thought. No way could she go back to the hotel for another day and risk having the same thing happening again the next day.
She was determined, she would get home even if she had to claw her way back.
Hours had passed, hope and sanity slowly escape the hollow tomb that is DC Union station, joining the howling wind outside.
“Earlier announcement of cancellation was carried over from yesterday by mistake.” a worker said.
Our hero looked up at the message board with her thousand yard stare.
That’s right, the trains haven’t been cancelled! Everything was about 5 hours late and counting but they were indeed not cancelled!
She was a shell of her former self at this point. Barely cared for the news, because she knew her destiny was to simply sit and wait.
– Maybe I belong here in this station, maybe this is my purgatory –
Few more hours had passed. Trains are almost 8 hours behind schedule.
“The trains are moving!” According to Amtrak twitter.
The slowly gathering crowd move with excitement, yet still gaining more stranded travelers as they got stuck at the station.
Our hero in skirt and stockings remains unmoved, sitting quietly and observe the crowd.
– I have seen things you people wouldn’t believe –
– Trees being pulled from root up off the shoulder of I-66 –
– I watched powerless streets glitter in the dark near the Chinatown Gate –
– All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain –
– Time to get some snacks at the kiosk-
Because she knew what’s coming ahead, another hour waiting for the train to finally get to DC.
Then another half an hour in the line to board the train.
Then another power outage as the train slowed down to crawling speed as it got closer to Philadelphia.
– I’m finally able to see through the transient world –
– Why should I care that I’m siting and waiting again? –
– If all I’m rushing to is to sit and wait some more. –
She glanced through the train window, looking at the trees blown by the wind. Suddenly felt like the day had gone by without incident.
That’s when she realized it was not over yet.
– But what could it be? The train already arrived and I’m on the taxi to home –
She thought to herself as she looked up food to order on her phone.
Suddenly the taxi rammed into an SUV that ran a stop sign.
– Ahh, so this is the final trial –
She did not panic, for she had reached enlightenment and fully understood her place in the transient world.
Luckily no one was hurt, and the SUV driver knows her mistake.
“I must go.”
Our hero said with conviction, she paid the taxi driver, left her phone number, and put her rolling luggage into a neat stack.
She couldn’t count how many times she had stacked her luggage that day, it was done with perfection that could only be achieved through the trials of deities.
She knew the end of the journey had to be completed on foot, by dragging her own body and luggage through the wind.
And yet there was no tiredness, perhaps it was from the adrenaline rush from the accident, perhaps she has achieved nirvana.
—– The END —–
I hope you have enjoyed all that. I really didn’t know what to think when I finally got home. It was such a long and bizarre journey, just about everything that could go wrong went wrong. Oh and it took two tries and 80 minutes for me to finally got my take out food after I settled down…… It took almost exactly 12 hours in total. The morning train ticket was for 6 am and I got home right around 6 pm on Saturday.
Anyway, I am finally back in Philadelphia in need of some warm cuddles.
